About us...

YourType Computer Services was founded by Cherry Duke in 1997. Cherry trained in Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts and in Web Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, both in New York City. Her expert problem-solving skills and patient attention to detail enable her to design and layout pages for print and Web that communicate clearly and beautifully. 

Cherry's on-going experience as a professional singer assists her in crafting promotional materials specifically for performing artists. Cherry has sung solo engagements with top organizations around the country, including New York City Opera, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Opera Omaha, Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Ventura Chamber Music Festival, Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, New Orleans Opera, and many more. 

Like many performing artists in New York City, Cherry started out "temping" to make ends meet. She worked in a variety of high-end temporary positions in international firms around Manhattan. Drawing on her experience with numerous and varied computer systems and organizations, Cherry tutors and consults individuals and small businesses, patiently helping them make the most of their PCs and increasing their productivity. 

Additional expert tutors and consultants are available for Macintosh and Windows help. All our staff are friendly artistic-types who keep sharp by pursuing a variety of outside interests, such as professional photography, music, acting, etc.
